Dr. Sue Goldswain
Ph.D., University of British Columbia, Registered Psychologist, British Columbia. # 1382
Dr. Sue Goldswain (formerly Brink) is a gifted therapist who has provided counselling and psychological services for over 20 years. She completed her Masters and Doctorate at UBC, with a focus on marriage and family therapy, and currently sees both individuals and couples. She is registered with College of Psychologists of British Columbia, fully licensed to practice in B.C.
Sue’s training and experience covers the treatment of a broad range of psychological problems. Her areas of practice include:
- Relationship/marital issues, Certified Imago Relationship Therapist
- Trauma, depression, eating disorders, addictions, and survivors of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
- Rehabilitation from illness and traumatic accidents
- Women’s issues, self-growth and life transitions
Her theory is based in Jungian Psychology, and she uses a variety of treatment techniques to support this orientation. She has taken additional training in Emotional Focused therapy, Dream therapy, EMDR and Mind-Body-Stress-Reduction (MBSR).

- Certified Imago Therapist fully accredited with Imago Therapy International
- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Drs. Jon Kabot-Zinn and Saki Santorelli.
- Level I & II training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Sue has provided therapy in a number of settings including schools, hospitals, and addiction centres. She has spent the last 13 years providing psychological services to the Cowichan Valley, where she was well-connected and had an excellent reputation in the community. She is now in private practice full-time in Vancouver.
